Equatorial Guinea’s Government Delegation Paid a Working Visit to the Construction Site of Sendje Hydroelectric Power Plant

On July 29, the Minister of Industry and Energy, Mr. Miguel Ekua Ondo, together with representatives of the Ministry of Public Works and Infrastructure and the Ministry of Mines and Hydrocarbons of the Republic of Equatorial Guinea, paid a working visit to the Sendje HPP construction site.

During the visit, the representatives of the Government Delegation, accompanied by the specialists from DUGLAS ALLIANCE LTD. personally visited the facility under construction, where they found out more about technical documentation and the process of carrying out construction and installation works. Particular attention was paid to the powerhouse and riverbed part of the dam of the future Sendje HPP. In addition, the government delegation inspected the facilities of the industrial base, in particular, the workshop where penstock pre-assembly works are being carried out, as well as the warehouses where main hydropower and hydromechanical equipment and construction materials are stored.

Upon completion of inspection of the facility under construction, the parties discussed key working issues of the Project and summarized the results of the inspection visit. For his part, Mr. Minister thanked the specialists of DUGLAS ALLIANCE LTD. for the work they had done and their professionalism, and also expressed his intention to make similar working visits on behalf of the Government of Equatorial Guinea more often in order to monitor the dynamics of work performance under the Sendje HPP Project.
